THE FACE OF NINJIKA

The Autobots find the Quintessons and Decepticons fighting over a Quadrant Lock Disc. SkyLynx, Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Blurr & Perceptor engage Galvatron & Cyclonus in battle near the Disc. The Quintessons open the disc and force all of the robots through, except for Galvatron and SkyLynx. As the Quintessons and Transformers pass through the other side of the open Disc, they see that the Quadrant Lock has created a warp in space which has enclosed and imprisoned a world named Zimojin. The Disc closes behind them. The Quintesson ship has a malfunction when the Isolator Key burns out, trapping them inside the warp as well, but they know that Perceptor has a component, called a Universal Emulator, which can function as a replacement for the key.

The Autobots tumble down to the planet and discover that the planet and everything from it is incredibly dense, so that trees are stronger than steel. Blurr is damaged in the planetfall when he land on a boulder, and is partially immobilized. Perceptor, stuck in Microscope mode is found and taken away by one of the planet's inhabitants, who recognizes the Autobot Symbol as "Ninjika". The alien, named Katsudan, cuts out Perceptor's Autobot Insignia, as well as the components behind the symbol, which contain the Universal Emulator and Perceptor's Lasercore. He uses Perceptor's components to rebuild the head of a small robot named Ninjika the Skydancer, who's face resembled the Autobot symbol, before the robot's head was destroyed. Perecptor awakens in a much smaller body. Sharkticons seeking the Universal Emulator are defeated easily by Katsudan. Katsudan tells Perceptor the story of Ninjika, and how the Quintessons trapped them 5000 years earlier.

In the past, the people of Zimojin shared a mind-link via crystals in their foreheads, which were networked together through a computer in a statue called Kodori. The Mind-Link was powered by stellar radiation from the stars around Zimojin. In the City of Tozin, their great scientist, and ancestor to Katsudan, Nikodan created Zimojin's first spacecraft. It was to be piloted by a small female android he had also created, named Ninjika, because their Empress would not allow Nikodan to go.

The Quintessons, fearing the Zimojins, attacked from the sky destroying the Spacecraft and Ninjika. They entered into Kodori and sabotaged it to disrupt the mind-link. Then the Quintessons placed the Quadrant Lock over the planet, to isolate it from the rest of the universe and halt the progress of the people of Zimojin. Nikodan was unable to rebuild the space craft or repair Ninjika, because his genius intelligence was lost once the mind-link was destroyed.

Perceptor tells Katsudan that the Quintessons have returned and they go to warn the other Zimojins.

Elsewhere, Rodimus and Ultra Magnus leave Blurr in the woods so that they may more quickly find Perceptor. Not long after they leave Zimojins find Blurr and capture him. Rodimus and Ultra Magnus fight through more Zimojins and find Perceptor's body.

The Quintessons see the destruction one Zimojin inflicted upon the Sharkticons, and make a deal with Cyclonus. Cyclonus will accompany a Quintesson down to the planet to retrieve the Universal Emulator if the Quintessons will share the secret of the Quadrant Lock with Galvatron.

When Perceptor & Katsudan arrive they find Blurr dangling over a large pool of molten material waiting to be executed. Perceptor tells the people of Zimojin about the Quintessons, the Quadrant Lock and that Blurr is an ally. Cyclonus and the Quintesson hide in the back of the crowd, to stir them up against the Autobots while they attempt to steal the Universal Emulator, but the Quintesson accidentally causes the Zimojins to attack Perceptor. Cyclonus acts quickly and grabs Perceptor, but Katsudan hangs on to Cyclonus' foot and is carried into the Quintesson ship with him.

The Quintessons remove Perceptor/Ninjika's face and use it to repair the Isolator Key, while another Quintesson shoots the rope that is holding Blurr over the molten pit. Blurr falls in and uses the heat to reshape his leg and fix the injury. Blurr jumps into the Quintesson ship, followed by Rodimus Prime & Ultra Magnus. They retrieve the Universal Emulator (and Perceptor's Lasercore) and rescue Katsudan. The all jump from the Quintesson ship as it leaves for the open Quadrant Lock Disc.

What the Quintessons do not know is that Perceptor sabotaged the Quadrant Lock controls while he was merged with them, so that when the Quintesson ship passes through it will negate the Quadrant Lock, and release the planet from its starless prison. The people of Zimojin celebrate and begin to rebuild their civilization, now that the Mind-Link has been restored. Katsudan promises Perceptor that he will meet Ninjika again one day, among the stars.
