THE DWELLER IN THE DEPTHS

The Autobots celebrate as Perceptor's new Power Core is activated and triples Cybertron's energy output, making Cybertron self-sufficient for its energy needs. From space, the Quintessons watch with hatred and envy. The Quintessons decide to use the Decepticons to unleash their first creations, the Trans-Organics, who they hope will destroy Autobot & Decepticon alike. The Trans-Organics were the Quintessons' first attempt at creating cyborg slaves, but they proved to be too savage and unusable. Many of the Trans-Organics were destroyed, but the ones that the Quintessons could not destroy were captured and placed in stasis deep below Cybertron's surface. The Quintessons send the Decepticons to steal the Power Core, but they give them the coordinates to the chamber where the Trans-Organics are held in stasis.

Galvatron and the Decepticons fight past the Autobots and delve deep below the surface. They find the chamber, but not the Power Core. They fire at the stasis sacs and release the Trans-Organics. They fight futily against the monsters, as their weapons appear to have little to no effect upon the Trans-Organics. They flee into an adjacent room and find an even more horrifying Trans-Organic waiting for them; a giant tentacled energy leech called the Dweller.

The creature quickly drains the energy from Scourge and some of the Sweeps, transforming them into Energy Vampires under its influence. Wreck-Gar is drained and transformed while trying to save Ultra Magnus from the creature. Wreck-Gar drains and transforms Springer into an energy vampire as well. Galvatron blasts the corridor on his way out, trapping Arcee, Ultra Magnus & Kup with the energy vampires. Kup is drained and made into a vampire when he saves Arcee from the Dweller. Ultra Magnus blasts their way out of the chamber. Arcee & Magnus flee into the tunnels. The Dweller and its robotic vampires spread into the tunnels.

Galvatron battles some of the vampires, but their weapons only feed the creatures, so he begins throwing Sweeps to the vampires to slow them down. Soon they drain and transform Cyclonus into a vampire as well., while Galvatron flees higher toward the surface.

Galvatron corners Ultra Magnus and Arcee, but the Dweller attacks him and Ultra Magnus. Arcee uses Galvatron's cannon to free Ultra Magnus, when suddenly the Dweller drops them and burrows toward the surface, toward the Power Core.

The Vampires attack Perceptor, Rodimus, Arcee & Ultra Magnus and Perceptor hypothesizes that a massive power load will restore the robots to normal. They try it and it works restoring all of the vampires present back into normal Transformers. The Decepticons quickly flee from Cybertron, and meet up with Galvatronin space. The Dweller bursts through the surface and attaches to the Autobots' new Power Core. The creature grows exponentially as it drains the Power Core dry.

The Autobots launch the Power Core and the Dweller into space, in order to save their planet from the ravenous monster. The Dweller, now massive in size, passes near the Quintesson ship and attaches to it draining it of all of its power as its crew screams in horror.
