MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE: Part 1

The Episode, and Series, starts out stating, "Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed. But not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and feel inhabited the cities. They were called Autobots and Decepticons. But the brutal Decepticons were driven by a single goal: Total Domination. They set out to destroy the peace-loving Autobots and a war between the forces of good and evil raged across Cybertron, devastating all in its path, draining the planet's once rich sources of energy. The Autobots, on the verge of extinction, battled valiantly to survive".

The scene then turns from Cybertronian landscapes, focusing in on a grate being lifted from beneath. The Autobots, Wheeljack and Bumblebee, emerge with a few Energy Conductors to return to their base, Iacon.

As the two Autobots travel back towards Iacon, they are intercepted by a group of Decepticons, led by Starscream. Wheeljack and Bumblebee stop for a second, then rush through a ring of fire that has surrounded them.

Thundercracker and Skywarp transform into their pyramidal fighter modes and pursue the fleeing Autobots. Bumblebee is hit by one of their blasts and boards Wheeljack, shortly before the two go into an underground tunnel, losing their pursuers.

As Wheeljack and Bumblebee cross over the retractable bridge and through the gates of Iacon, one of the Sensor Posts across from the gates transforms into Soundwave. Soundwave ejects Laserbeak from his chest and orders him to spy on the Autobots inside of Iacon from above.

Soundwave transforms back into his disguise mode as an Autobot, Jazz, crosses the bridge into Iacon. Laserbeak continues to monitor as Jazz transforms into robot mode and speaks with Optimus Prime, Prowl and Trailbreaker.

Jazz reports that there is no energy to be found on Cybertron's northern side. Optimus then prepares to launch to find a new energy source.

Laserbeak then re-enters Soundwave, and they fly off to report their discovery.

Meanwhile, Megatron speaks to Starscream about their own search for energy resources. Soundwave arrives to report the Autobots' readiness to blast off to seek energy.

Megatron leaves Shockwave in control of Cybertron. Starscream expresses his desire to lead the Decepticons, and Megatron parries his comment with one word, "Never".

The Autobot Ship lifts off from the center of Iacon and is stealthily pursued by the Decepticon Spacecruiser. As the two ships travel through space, a collision of two asteroids cause both ships to be pelted by debris.

The Autobots blast a path through the rocks, and the Decepticons follow. The Autobots detect the Decepticons as the Decepticon Ship moves into the open path that the Autobots cleared. The Autobot ship is caught in a magnetic tractor beam, and the Decepticons board the Autobot ship.

A battle ensues, but is cut short as the Autobot ship is pulled down by Earth's Gravity. The Autobot ship crashes headlong into a mountain.

Four Million Years pass.

The mountain erupts as a volcano, reactivating the Autobot Computer, Teletran One. It releases an exploratory Probe called a "SkySpy", which scans what it thinks to be Earth's dominant lifeforms: machines.

Teletran One begins repairing the nearest robot, who happens to be the Decepticon Skywarp, who was refitted to resemble and F-15 Eagle. Skywarp dragged Megatron's body into the repair beam. The two of the pulled the other Decepticons into the repair beam and exited the Autobot wreck to search for resources to return to Cybertron. As they leave, Starscream takes a few potshots at the ship, causing an avalanche.

The vibrations from the avalanche cause Optimus Prime's body, hunched over a control panel, to fall into the repair beam.

Meanwhile Starscream, Soundwave and Rumble go to gather raw materials for the Decepticons' new base.

Optimus Prime stands before the newly repaired Autobots and orders Hound to find the Decepticons so that they may stop whatever they're doing. The over-eager Cliffjumper volunteers to go with Hound.

Starscream, Soundwave and Rumble arrive at an Electrical Station and tear it down to use for their new base.

Hound and Cliffjumper find the Decepticons constructing their new Spacecruiser and overhear their plans to store Earth's energy in Energon Cubes for transport. Unable to resist temptation, Cliffjumper tries to assassinate Megatron, but misses, alerting the Decepticons to their presence. Soundwave sends Laserbeak to pursue them.

Laserbeak chases down Hound and blasts him over a cliff, while Cliffjumper destroys a drone cannon that is chasing him. Cliffjumper, Ratchet and Hauler show up to rescue Hound from the crevasse into which he has fallen.

Reflector and Thundercracker stand on guard duty when they see a possible Autobot. The "Autobot" is really a human vehicle going to investigate the destroyed electrical station. The humans are chased away by Ravage.

After being informed of the Decepticons' plans, Optimus Prime has Jazz organize a Battle Unit to confront the Decepticons.

Meanwhile the Decepticons fly to attack an offshore oil rig, where Sparkplug Witwicky, and his son Spike, work. The Autobots track down and interrupt the Decepticons' energy gathering. The Decepticons retreat with most of the Energon Cubes, as Megatron destroys the oil rig with his Fusion Cannon.
