MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE: Part 3

The Autobots set Optimus back up on his wheels and Optimus painfully transforms, after Roller zips out of the collapsed mine and back into Prime's trailer. Immediately they begin digging through the rubble for Bumblebee and Sparkplug. They find them dirty, but in okay shape, since Bumblebee shielded Sparkplug with his body.

Much to the Autobots lament, the Decepticons and their Energon Cubes blasted their way out of the mines unscathed. Pursued by Ironhide and Bluestreak, Megatron dispatches Skywarp to shoot them out of the sky, which Skywarp does with ease. The Autobots return to their headquarters for repairs.

Back in their base, Hound and Optimus concoct a plan to make an illusion of a rocket base to lure the Decepticons away from the real rocket base, and delay their preparations further. The misinformation about the bases' location is slipped to Ravage, who is then allowed to escape.

Ravage carries the information back to Megatron. Upon the news of this Starscream makes a play for leadership and tries to assassinate Megatron, but Soundwave warns Megatron before Starscream can shoot. After disciplining Starscream, Megatron declares that the attack upon the rocket base begins at sunrise.

Early in the morning the Autobot's fake rocket base is attacked, but they quickly discover that the attackers are decoys, and Megatron mocks Prime telling him that the real Decepticons are attacking the real rocket base.

With their final resource demands met, the Decepticons prepare to leave Earth, while the Autobot prepare a strike force to stop the Decepticons. The Autobots surround the launch pad as the Decepticons begin to board the Spacecruiser. A brief battle detains the Decepticons, but not for long. The Decepticons blast off for Cybertron, loaded down with Energon.

Optimus Prime attempts to utilize Sideswipe's rocketpack to chase the Spacecruiser, but is shot down and crashes to the ground with minimal damage. As the Autobots try to console Optimus on this great loss, they notice that Mirage is missing.

Meanwhile aboard the Spacecruiser, Starscream interrupts Megatron's celebratory speech with another assassination attempt.

Just as Starscream is about to fire upon Megatron, Mirage appears and blows up the Spacecruiser's controls, distracting Starscream. He then parachutes out of the ship as Megatron blasts Starscream.

The Spacecruiser reeled out of control and plummeted downward into the ocean with a tremendous impact. The Autobots celebrate as they see the Spacecruiser sink into the depths.

Epilogue:

The Autobots begin repairs upon their own crashed ship with help from the governments of the world. As they prepare to seek out Cybertron, Megatron escapes from the Spacecruiser's undersea wreckage…
