FIVE FACES OF DARKNESS: Part 1

It is the year 2005, several months since the destruction of Unicron, and the the Autobot reclaimation of Cybertron.

The Decepticons have retreated to a burned out planet called Charr, where they languish in poverty and fuel shortages. They have become so desperate that they fight amongst themselves for even a scrap of Energon. Cyclonus decides that something must be done to remedy the situation.

Elsewhere, Rodimus Prime & Ultra Magnus open the First Galactic Olympics on a strange planetoid.

On Cybertron, Perceptor charges Blurr & Wheelie to take Metroplex's new Transformation Cog to Autobot City.

Back at the Galactic Olympics, a Scuckzoid causes the Olympic Torch to explode, allowing a spacecraft to drop off a pod full warriors to enter the arena under the thick smoke. Springer destroys the Torch clearing the smoke, but they discover that Kup, Spike & Ultra Magnus are missing. Just as Rodimus declares a quarantine on the planetoid, an escape ship launches. Thinking that the Decepticons have kidnapped the missing robots & human, Springer & Arcee leave to pursue the ship.

Meanwhile, Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps enter Unicron's head they gather information on Galvatron's disappearance, and calculate that his trajectory would have taken him to the planet Throll, which orbits the red giant start Hydran. The Unicronian Decepticons depart to recover their leader.

On Earth, Blaster and Outback, working for the Earth Defense Command (or EDC), inspect for Decepticons in the Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya, where they are railed against by it's bombastic Supreme Military Commander, President for Life and king of kings -Abdul Fakhaddi. Outback uses a ruse, claiming that he has a "Decepticon Detector, which flushes Ramjet & Dirge into the open. Blaster & Outback capture the Decepticons and force them to give them the coordinates of Charr. They relay the information back to Rodimus Prime.

In space, Springer's & Arcee's shuttle is destroyed, so they board the fleeing Scuckzoid's ship, a Rockaroid, which resembles an Asteroid, superficially. Inside they capture the Scuckzoid, who tells them that the Decepticons paid him to sabotage the Torch. The Scuckzoid then escapes in his smaller craft, while the two Autobots take the Rockaroid. As he leaves, the Scuckzoid contacts his client, who is amused that the Autbots blame the Decepticons.

Back on Charr, the Decepticons ponder how to get out of their impoverished situation, when Cyclonus and the Sweeps arrive, asking for donations of fuel for Galvatron's rescue. Unknown to the Decepticons, Grimlock & Rodimus Prime spy on them from a cliff above. Grimlock's laughter at the Decepticons' state alerts the Decepticons, who begin to attack the two Autobots.
