THIEF IN THE NIGHT

Seeking to overthrow Galvatron, the Decepticon Triple-changer Octane leads the recuperating Trypticon from Dinobot Island to the North African nation of Carbombya, where they act as mercenaries for Abdul Fakhaddi in exchange for Energon, made from his ample oil fields. Soon, though Fakhaddi grows tired of the giant Decepticon draining his oil fields for Energon, and threatens to call the Autobots if they don't leave. Octane offers to steal all of the Gold from Fort Knox for Fakhaddi, if he will allow them to stay. Fakhaddi agrees, so Octane gets Trypticon to uproot the entires gold storage facility, and take it to Carbombya. Impressed with the gift, but not happy to stop there, Fakhaddi orders the two Decepticons to continue stealing national treasures from other countries, starting with the Taj Mahal.

The Autobots investigate the site of the Fort Knox robbery and Grimlock finds "Dinosaur Transform Static" there. The Autobots begin interrogating the Autbots with dinosaur-like modes, which possess "Dinosaur Electrons". Perceptor clears the Autobots of any guilt when he discovers that the Energon Cubes found at the site is a Decepticon Formula made from Carbombyan oil.

Meanwhile, Galvatron and the Decepticons find Trypticon & Octane and make Fakhaddi a hostage, while Trypticon arrives with the Eiffel Tower. The Aerialbots arrive in Carbombya, but are beaten back by the Decepticons.

Elsewhere Rodimus Prime waits with Metroplex outside the Kremlin to prevent the next building theft. Metroplex stops Trypticon, but is blamed by the Soviets, causing India to follow suit in blaming the Autobots for stealing their national treasures. Fhakhaddi sends out a distress signal to the Autobots.

The Autobots all converge upon Carbombya, and force the Decepticons to retreat. Metroplex returns the stolen buildings to their rightful countries after Fakhaddi swears to never work with the Decepticons again.
